Yea, it's neither as slow as Debian nor as suicidally fast as arch that the package manager commits sepuku after you didn't update for a whole month. Definitely something one should use as their daily driver unless they can afford the time to update and configure a more rolling soystem.

tell me why do we hate arch again. the most based distro alongside debian.

Needs maintenance, will shit the entire soystem if you try to update after a month's pending updates. So, it's only for the chronically online.

what exactly do you mean by maintenance ?? i have never done anything beyond restarting NetworkAdapter like thrice in 4.5 years. i wont call it "maintenance".
>chronically online
erm ... you could say that i am a chornically online guy but does it even matter if you are chronically online on arch or ubuntu or mint or some other shieee. like i would have been chronically online anyways. and given the fact that i still didnt spend time on maintenance, the point is null and void. besides i am a job haver now and it is yet to break.
>inb4 job haver ki to ...
yeah yeah wtv
>shit the entire soystem after late updates
never, never happened. thought i do updoot frequently but there have been times when i didnt and it never broke. all those pacman shits pants after delayed updates is a tale 2 3 years old. i dont use obscure pkgs from yay so that s that.
btw, what distro do you use anon ??

One of my IT friends kept shilling Linux so I installed it on a laptop, biggest mistake ever. Never touched that piece of shit again and its still lying around unused until today.

absolutely based. my first distro was arch. used it for 6 months. tried hopping. Arch --> Debian --> Ubuntu --> back to arch. Debian is so fucking old, and Ubuntu is jewish and retarded. Arch does what i tell it to do, and just that.

AzC75x

i wouldnt consider that to be maintenance. i admit i have done it a couple of times but it isnt an issue if i am habituated to writing my config files myself (nvim, ncmpcpp, neomutt, ranger ...)
and coming to clearing caches, i do it every month but thats got nothing to do with arch, i used to do long back before i had arch on both my android and windows.
for me its either debian or arch. sounds extremist but it really isnt that extremist, like what does fedora offer apart from custom "spins"

Nah I'm a perfectionist. I'll make the perfect soystem with a custom kernel, and then make an iso for it. That'll be my own perfect distro.
