I don't know how good this imageboard is but I was a frequent poster on InCh tech board
Since AI is the hot topic in tech right now
I'll ask you gentlemen for your opinion on it
I have been using it a lot I have created a lot of software for personal use like a text editor,pdf reader, a music player and much more with using help of AI, if you wanna call it vibe coding, fine I don't care but in my opinion it is a really powerful tools and if you are not learning to harness the good part of it you are being left behind
The things which took me days to learn from documentations and other project is one question away from the AI
Yes there is the environmental effects and I think every new tech starts by harming the world and then we figure out a way to make it sustainable but the current state is unacceptable
but I really hate the hurr durr AI bad people
I think it is a really good tool for average nobody like me who wants to learn things but is limited by resources be it financial or technical

I know a couple of foids who keep reposting "stop AI slop and save water" stuff on their socials. Its like saying lets stop producing paper because it takes 800 litres of water to produce one page.
Doing anything on your computer like watching netflix or even performing a google search wastes water. Anything that involves pinging to a data center uses water.

Data centers always required water for cooling
also the water used for cooling doesn't disappear it just is used for cooling
