In the early-mid 1990s, parts of Bengaluru experienced something strange.
People began reporting:
Knocking on doors late at night,
A voice calling out in the tone of a family member,
Dogs howling unusually,
Sudden unexplained deaths being linked (by rumor) to “opening the door”
Word spread that a spirit was roaming neighborhoods. If you opened the door after it called your name, you would die.
Soon entire streets began writing “ನಾಳೆ ಬಾ” (Come Tomorrow) on doors.
It wasn’t one or two houses.
It was widespread.
Newspapers later reported it as mass hysteria, but residents insist something triggered the panic. Police found no supernatural evidence but the fear was real, and behavior changed overnight.
No confirmed paranormal deaths.
But the panic itself was documented. This is also the inspiration for the movie "Stree" in Hindi.

>goes alone to Manikarnika Ghat at midnight, sits for hours
>comes back to hostel, starts feeling watched, hears knocks/whispers
>paranoia ramps up, frames it as something supernatural
>Goes to the countryside and tells cousin in Bihar
>cousin has sudden fever + psychotic/dissociative episode
>shaking, accusations, tantra/“entity” narrative
The thing that scared him to shit the most was that she (It) was yelling at my friend:'s about how he didn't share the cigarette he was smoking near the ghat with "it" when it asked.
>family panics, calls tantric, temporary calm
friend gets scapegoated and leaves the place and returns to hostel
>fear spreads to others in contact
>I experience same while isolated in hostel
Was going to shit my pants because I am a regular nocturnal guy who stays up at 2am-4am every day but this was something really new to me. So I start meditating, I am trying to larp as Buddhist so in my meditation, I wish for peace and compassion emanating from me towards whoever/whatever is doing this to me, if it exists, seen or unseen, known or unknown.

>routine + time = symptoms fade for all involved
realization: stress + fear + suggestion
no entity, just human psyche under pressure. The mind is its own ultimate enemy, frens. So learn to tame the mind first and foremost. Then try fucking around with whatever creature/entity.

Back in 2000s, there was a legend in Uttar Pradesh, of a mysterious creature called Moohnochwa who was said to bite people's face off. Very similar to Monkey man of Delhi popular at same time , he was described as either a man or a monkey or a humanoid. Many people reported seeing this creature or being attacked by it. Things became so serious that even the government asked IIT to investigate. News at the time even report this creature to have come from a different place in a vehicle
The fear it created had serious effects. Elderly men died of cardiac arrests. A villager killed his dog when he woke up at night to find something licking his face. Terrified people started staying awake at night, even banding together to form watch groups.
One such vigilante group claimed that they had seen a flying creature.
For some strange reason, IIT later claimed it was nothing but ball lightning. Makes you wonder if the creature was an imagination or he simply left.

I have body dysmorphia. Intense body dysmorphia. Every day is a humilaition ritual and every second is a death sentence. I'm not extremely ugly. I'm just medicore. I hate society.
