before you ask, yes i installed them on two different disks, windows on ssd and loonix on a small hdd partition.

send halp pls /g/

but how could something like this can happen?

as far as I know you can't overwrite something in linux without having admin privileges

XE7VlC

>>15091(OP)

i'm too confused. how did windows messed with linux partition? which filesystem did you used?

VHhPUA

>>15091(OP)

This is what you get for using loonix

You should have created a bootable usb drive instead.

Dual booting always causes destruction.

Imagine using loonix when you have win

Install VScode retard and learn how to use powershell.

Stop learning boomercel obsolete languages like C, C++ or python, instead learn Go, Rust, Julia etc.

what device you installed it on? model??

no idea, im a noob

nice digits btw

>>15149

ermmmmm im not sure, while setting it up debian created 3 different partitions(not on the win11 drive) from the unallocated space i created

>>15186

im considering using a bootable usb, i have a 64gb sandisk but im not sure if it's stable enough to run a whole os on it for long term use

i WILL learn C/C++ and you cannot stop me :3

hp14s, ryzen5+8gbram if it helps

>>15205

i just uninstalled all the linux partitions from diskmgmt, i'd rather use a usb or VM now

debian can make partition automatically see above video

if you wanna install manually then go to arch

>>15381

>install gentoo

would not recommend this since this (by the way I am a nigger) had problem installing easiest distribution

fedora, linux mint, trisquel boot you into live cd then you can install it with simple next next next way

DE: kde is broken try Gnome, Mate, Cinammon or LXDE

>>15413

>>15419

i followed this exact vid while installing before lol, it works but my main problem is windows taking solid 10 minutes to boot with this setup, and some devices like the wi-fi network card or touchpad won't work for both os

IAcinH

>>15815

you have really old laptop with shitty cpu processor try booting into arch see if it's connects you to wifi

else you can take out the wifi card clean it softly maybe it's hardware issue

sometime my laptop wifi card start showing errors in tty when i am in long gaming session

so thats the solution in given in stackoverflow but i leave my laptop powered of for long time and it get back to normal

>windows taking 10 mins to boot

how much time does your laptop take when you get the login prompt. if it takes 10 mins after you've entered the password then it's windows issue in much cases

>some devices like the wi-fi network card or touchpad won't work for both os

have you or someone else dropped the laptop
