Hello everyone, it's been a while. Here we are with the Part One of the Three major updates. This is the biggest update among the three ones and was under work for a bit of time. Result of some of which will be visible in days to come since configuration is yet to be completed.

Roughly listing following new things have been added, starting with homepage

Homepage

• Stats Section are back. But this time we have additional section where user's own stats are shown. Dedicated stats page are part of next update
• Noticeboard - Recent notices are shown at homepage, also we now have dedicated noticeboard section which makes announcements etc. cleaner.
• FAQ Page has now more updates on the RSS Feed and new Markdowns. We will come to it again.
• RSS Support - Yes now bhach has rss feed support. Check FAQ page to know more on these.
• /r9k/ robot type functionality is now available - yet to be configured for boards
• audience accessibility - for boards like /int/ is now available - need to configure it yet.
• Better moderation tools.
• Now you can pretty much upload all types of images - webp/avif/tiff/heif/bmp/jxl apart from the traditional image types.

Catalog Page

• A small snippet of notices at the top which can be hidden.
• Overboard logic overhaul - this is major one. It's recommended that anons select all the boards excluding /b/ for overboard so that you can have /b/ and /overboard/ - a balance b/w slow and fast boards. Unlike earlier when we had front end filtering now we have backend one which ensures that overboard will carry the latest posts from the selected boards.
• Bookmarks page is back
• Active Threads is added - it shows all the threads you are active in
• My Threads has been added - shows your own threads.
• Improved settings, we need to get into it a bit more
  • Custom Emoji - Yes, (Settings > Misc > Sync Emojis) to use custom emojis.
  • Hide User Tags - For those with accounts (Settings > Misc > Hide Tag)
  • Custom User Tags - Settings > Misc > Select Tag
  • Updated logic for filters
  • Custom css is now much faster.
  • Custom Themes - for separate board etc.
  • Favourites - To have customized navbar

Thread View

• Complete theme redesign for thread view.
• Interaction improvements.
• Improvements related to reference hover. Higlights references to the posts better now.
• Quick access to Bookmarks, My Threads, Active Threads
• Title and meta image related info are now based on the threads instead of using predefined values.

There's lot of backend improvements changes to make things faster, like homepage etc. Some of the things like notification were delayed because we were bringing lot more stuff which were new and untested.
