Even like more than a quarter vocabulary of modern Tamil is loan word in the original form.
Nobody in north uses 'nagar' but in south you will find names like "xyz-nagar' very common.
Vidya etc. are very commonly used. Anyone who watches south indian movies in original lingo can see almost one such word in every interaction. Telugu, Kannada, Malaylam, Tamil all of them.
