This got me thinking, earlier, businesses had to think real hard (non-IT) if they wanted to purchase a computer or several computers for their employees. They had deicated/contractual majdoors who were paid to repair and install stuff.

Now they are supplying their employees with smartphones, albeit 1/3rd the price of a desktop but still that a capital good an sheiz. That smartphone would need repair too so do they have a guy on payroll or contract for that or do they pay the employee a lumpsum for its repair or do they simply throw away their smartphones after a few years to replace with newer ones? Yes big businesses can afford to do so because back in the day they used to do the same thing with desktops.

I am talking about small and medium sized businesses. Now obviously I am aware that most employers nowadays (if required) will make it a criteria for the guy to have his own mobile and will pay some hundreds per year for it if they are generous. Sort of like owning a bike as a criteria for people working in jaabs that requires frequent traveling from one point to another. because of the pappulation they can just dump the cost of the tools on the employees. It is similar to a factory owner asking his majdoors to bring the cotton gin from home if they want to work and bear the cost of wear and tear (maintenance) on the majdoors while they would provide just the electricity /diesel/coal required to run the machines.

But still a heck of a lot of businesses that are organized would be required to provide a phone cause thye workers bringing their own could just claim that their's doesn't work when they want to slack off or sum sheit.

So my main point being, why haven't they asked some ITjeet dhando to develop their own dedicated phone with their own softwares made for chatting/transaction, camera (okay quality) and maybe the company app ( so bloat free) and that could run for decades? I mean they won't need much and won't i cost less in the long run if not the in the short term cause unless businesses start doing it in large scales, the economics of scale would come into play an stuff.

Softwares like these already exists for free and hardawre can be bought from the chinks so why aren't they doing it? And more so why aren't mobile companies that fail to do much businesses sell it this way?

I mean the failing companies already have some sort of assembling part and do install some goo OS, can't they just make such a product cause they fail making shiny phones for the normies but dhando people are more pragmatic and somethang, cheap, reliable, relatively fast and bloatfree would be their thang, right?

If they are able to do so, won't they simply have a number of users on hand and "brand awareness" helping them to make no bullshit phones for normies too with those free softwares? Cause I saw some mutt companies trying it for masses and failed, why didn't anyone try catering to dhandos? I am sure that phone distributers or sales agencies have their salesmen pushing products to dhando tenders like they used to sell assembled computers back in da day by calling it pre assembled or sum sheit. Then why not make such a thing?

Now that I thimk about it, they can just buy jio smartphones in bulk for 5k or something and just buy again if needed or make the employee pay for it through pay cuts on a monthly basis for it and let them take the phone back home if they had paid it off when they fire the n!gger. yaar I wasn't talking about making it in house. More like buying parts in bulk or some assembled thing in bulk and installing fdroid apps for free so that the phone doesn't become redundant in 3 years of time.

like majority of the dhandos use whatsapp for chatting I am sure that sum other app exists that doesn't need constant goo like updates or is related to google play apps that they have to keep bloating the stuff every year in sync with other goo apps to make the old hardware redundant in 3 years forcing you to buy another faster phone running those same apps but in their more bloated version.

Alright bros I thought about it for a minut and here's why it can't work out.

I made this thread thimking that the telephone company which wuz struggling selling to the masses could sell to businesses and instead of Bhatsapp, they would install some bloat free normal chatting app and the likes that are like those fdroid types. The reason that no one adopts to these apps from bhatsapp and like is cause other people are using bhatsapp and they need bhatsapp to communicate with other pepo. But the business pepo don't care and they could make their majdoors to use the default phone apps (fdroidy type ones) to communicate businessy thangs. This would give the telephone company a new group of users who are familiar with their software ecosystum. They could meanwhile launch or hell there already exists google play version of those apps so the campany majdoors might make their vamily members to use those new apps on their phones. This way they could build phones , the cheap ruggedy, practical ones for normal masses too.

But why this won't work is cause only majdoor to majdoor cammunication would be available using this. Majdoor to customer communication won't be possible through apps cause customers aren't gonna replace bhatsapp with your app.

Now the case could be made that why don't they use these phones for majdoors who don't communicate with customers. Well that could but why bother cause that brings yet another logistical issue cause naw you need two separate types of phones.

And this was also made a case solely to the small and medium campanie for whom, every penny matters.

This is why most businesses don't make specialized tools or gives out tenders for specialized tools and instead use bhatever available in the market after some jugaad. Cause doing so otherwise might not even be worth it I guess.
