Witnessed it first hand.
Went to DMart to buy some stuff, was waiting at cash counter, initially I was looking at the front but turned back cuz I forgot to take milk, and for a split second I just stood there looking at the guy standing beside me, he was like 5'3, my facial expression at that instant was mixture of shock, pity and a sense of relief, thing is that guy guy clearly understood everything, he had obviously experienced this before.
I thank Vishnu everyday for making me tall, I wonder how such guys keep going about their lives with such low confidence, he was clearly of same age as me, but looked like a kid from a distance.
