I just watched this video and got brutalised, is it really true that no real education happens in India? that we can never be real engineers? mai nahi manta yaar, there has to be a way, what if I still want to compete with international talent despite this, what are my options?

Then you'll have to try for masters abroad. Take out a loan and go to US (visa issues now) or Germany(language barrier, but "free tution").
Even BITSAT is alright I've heard. My friend got a 36 LPA package and he seems to be doing good work at some telecom compamy.

You can't study engineering. These colleges teach engineering - or rather basic concepts from engineering from text books. The teachers in there may have good theoretical background and would have done lot of research in the academia to teach things, but they have little to zero industrial exposure. Some of these losers don't even know how to insert a row in excel.
