No i aint talking about class but iq specifically. Is there any genetic correlation between iq and skin colour? Ofc people in indoor jobs dont get tanned as much but there are low class indoor jobs as well like housemaids, janitors, factory workers, plumbers, drivers and electricians but even they are darker skinned on average as if they were genetically dark skinned. Not every low class person is a majdoor.

Skin colour is based on melanin.

There are three types of melanins

Eumelanin - how brown you are

Pheomelanin - how reddish you are

Neuromelanin - inside the neurons

Whites have low eumelanin and high pehomelanin which is why they appear pinkish or orangeish.

Asians and arabs have low eumelanin but also low eumelanin, so they appear light, but also yellowishgreen undertone.

Maybe the neuromelanin is also controlled by genes responsible for eumelanin and pheomelanin, and maybe thats why skin colour might have a direct role in your intelligence. Nobody has studied this though, because of ethics.

This aint 1959. They travel in buses, bikes and rickshaws normally not on foot or cycle. Even their little children are dark skinned. I am fair but outdoorsy and i do get tanned in summers but get nowhere as dark as them.

Perhaps. But you even notice this skin difference in army. Soldiers are darker whereas officers are relatively fair despite outdoors training of both.

Richard Lynn studied it actually and found a strong correlation between higher latitudes and iq but idk how relevant it is to skin colour specifically as opposed to race.

Not denying that even working class whites used to be olive skinned back in the day. But i notice skin colour disparity despite that. You can even see it in colleges. Compare girls in medical colleges to those in your local gobarmint college or even within blocks in gobarmint college. You will see a subtle difference in appearance of sciencefags and artsfags.

Thats the very purpose of the thread. Investigating a correlation. I can think of two possibilities. Genes for skin colour have an indirect effect on iq aka pleiotropy (less likely scenario) or that lighter skin colour is indictive of higher ancestry from a higher iq race that evolved at higher latitudes(iranN or steppe). Theres a positive correlation between lighter skin(due to higher white ancestry) and higher iq among african americans. Now i aint sure if thats the case with us.

I am still looking for more definite answers and will put things on hold for now until i get more data and evidence. Perhaps things would be clearer if somebody researches this subject but it is sadly very unlikely given that academia ostracized researchers like richard lynn and charles murray who researched race and iq correlation.

Political implications are given and even necessary in such scenarios. I mean for example wont it be wiser to repeal reservations if it is found upon research that lower castes have statistically lower average iq. That will prove that underperformance of LCs is not a result of social factors but a biological reality therefore irremediable. We will be able to make better political decisions in light of such research. Lefties would be pissed tho.
