"कंकर पाथर जोरि के मस्जिद लई बनाय, ता चढ़ि मुल्ला बांग दे, क्या बहरा भया खुदाय" यह दोहा कबीर दास जी का है। इसका अर्थ है कि कंकड़-पत्थर जोड़कर मस्जिद तो बना ली, लेकिन उस पर चढ़कर मुल्ला जोर-जोर से बांग (अजान) दे रहा है, मानो खुदा बहरा हो गया हो। यह दोहा प्रतीकात्मक है, जो धार्मिक आडंबरों और दिखावे पर व्यंग्य करता है। कबीर दास जी का मानना था कि ईश्वर को किसी विशेष स्थान पर ढूंढने की बजाय, उसे अपने भीतर खोजना चाहिए।
