jaati is the tribe you belong to, these are your closes blood relatives after your own Gotra
Marrying within own jaati/tribe is a ritual as old as human history and this was followed by almost all humans naturally
Gotra is your clan which you belong to, these are your closes relatives after your own family

Varna literally means color in sanskrit.
In ancient India, there was a chatur varna system of social hierarchy - Priests, Kings, Merchants/Peasants, Servant Labour just like many other societies of that time, at some point these social groups became endogamous.
(indian) actually comes the Portugese word Casta which means lineage, when the Portugese colonized Latin America, they mixed with the local populations, they also brought some negros with them who also mixed with the local populations, as a result over the years the population got muttified, producing a spectrum of lineages.

Gotra basically means Clan.
Among the Brahmins it is descent from the rishis.
My gotra is Bhardwaja for example.
Certain groups have their own clan/gotra system such as Jats
Kshatriyas, specifically Rajputs specifically have their own clan system.

Jati is endogamous tribe/kinship group.
Varna is the ritual status of your tribe as defined by brahminism.
(indian) is just a word europeans used for both jati and varna.
For eg
Both ahirs and jats are shudra by varna but they are different jatis.
Khatri and baniyas are different jatis but both are vaishya by varna.
Kashmiri wanis and marwadi baniyas are same by varna but different by jati.
Ramgarhias and vishvakarma are shudra by varna but they both are different jatis.
Kashmiri pandits and tambrams are same varna but different jatis.
Rajasthani rajputs and uttarakhandi rajputs are same by varna but are different by jati.
Lohar and kumhar are same by varna but different jatis.
A jati can be martial but be considered shudra if they dont patronize brahmins and dont observe vedic customs.

no they are closely related, although not as much as they are to other brahmins

also religion doesn't have much to do with (indian)
their have been cases of Same jati having 2 different varnas like Parekhs from Gujarat who have
Vaishya, Kshatriya, and Brahmins in them
Bhunihars from Bihar who inclued both brahmins and Kshatriyas
Even Sikhism and Islam followers who these day preach about muh equality, follow strict same tribal / ethnicity marriage rule

Dont mix sociology with genetics. Kashmiri pandits are genetically closer to kashmiri wanis(traders) than to non kashmiri brahmins.

Its well known. Brahmins have diverse y haplogroups including y haplogroups common with non brahmins indicating that brahmins dont have a common origin. Priestly/shamanic classes of different tribes probably got absorbed into brahmin fold as vedicism spread. In punjab ramgarhias(shudra carpenters) samples show close affinity to punjabi brahmins so it is also possible that some brahmins abandoned priesthood when economy demanded it. The brahmins of punjab show higher IVC ancestry whereas those of up bihar show higher 'steppe' and aasi ancestry. Brahmins arent a monolithic group.

In the NW, artisan (indian)s are offshoots of Brahmins, hence identical autosomal. Ancient literature supports this (for example the Vedas), in which the artisans were once Brahmins who took to their current occupations. You see this phenomenon in Punjab, Rajasthan, Haryana as well as Gujarat when it comes to Brahmins and artisan (indian)s being nearly identical.
punjabi ramgarhia are the only non brahmin group who are close to Punjabi brahmins though
but I couldn't find more cases
their other close relatives were
Brahmin (Gujarat)
Brahmin (Himachal Pradesh)
that also explains why some of them use brahmin surnames, like Sharma

that's good to know brother, we are from same jati and are very closely genetically related, unfortunately due to varna, dharma lauda lassan we got divided into different things
hopefully in future More brahmins and Tarkhans and other artisan (indian)s from nw will realise that we are brothers and unite like old times again
