i will never ever get a manual car. i have ptsd from driving my baaps manual car which one day stalled in the middle of an uphill traffic light in heavy traffic and wouldn't start. It wasn't even my fault the battery was dying and the car just died. I know you will never get into such a situation in an automatic. If an automatic car dies it dies after you have parked and that is worth it.

Haven't driven automatic yet, learned manual only. Just need to drive on highways now. Can drive in service lanes and sector roads without any issue.

1. Press clutch and brake both
2. Release clutch slowly until it starts biting
3. Release the brake and press accelerator immediately
4. If you can't maintain braking, use the handbrake. If you keep its button pushed in, it won't latch allowing you to use it freely.

I have been driving manuals and automatics for 10 years now. I know how to make them move. The problem is that manuals will die in the middle of traffic even if you do everything right. I just dont want that.
Obviously some manual cars are fun, but the manual car i drive is so shit man, the handbrake has worn out and the car rolls back on slopes so I have to use the pedal brake, the small cc petrol engine really wants to stall at low rpms. the gearing is weird. you cannot pull from a stand-stop in 2nd gear reliably and there is no rpm meter so you have to do everything by feel and ear. Either way man automatics are just fun you do not feel stressed even if there is kilometers long bumper to bumper traffic
