Okay so ideally the current option is something like,
>you build upon the existing css
So many a times if you are applying css you will have to indulge in things like '!important' suffix
Or css combinators to override the existing rules.
I shared one trick in the pinned post check that. Use important after changing the color and see how the changes worked.
You can even add background images with urls etc. if you want.

I will add the option in css to completely remove the existing css files and apply only the stated ones. If you want that. Noted at my end, maybe will update the changes by tonight itself.
