Trump will never beome a PM of Lundia because most Lundians have very socialistic thinking and a guy who flaunts his wealth, status and luxurious lifestyle. Such a thing will only happen in a country like America which has a highly liberal/libertarian culture and most of the population considers themselves to be temporarily embarrassed millionaires and worship rich people like celebrities.
The closest to a 'Trump-like' 'outsider' 'wildcard' figure we will got was 2015 era Yogiji and I don't think the system of India will ever allow such a wildcard figure to rise to leading the country.

Eh, that's the closest I can think of a guy who rose to be a minister by appealing to base instincts that appeals to lot of jeets like Trump to Lundia - religious faggotry, strongman image against muzzies especially gangsters, known more for his non political work as a priest than his political work, etc...
But yeah, even he's not comparable because he was raised to be a leader by RSS. Maybe I guess the 60s-70s era dumeel nadu dravidian politics might have a closer version with MGR and AIADMK.

And the problem with Westminister system and India's diversity is that max they can become is a Chief Minister and after that they need to work out and become a career politician after becoming one.
Nothing like Trump will happen in India where a guy who was unknown in any political position before can sweep in and gain votes all over the country.

You're giving Yogiji way too much credit as a trump-like figure. While both played to majoritarian sentiments, Trump's rise came despite the establishment, not through it. Yogi, on the other hand, was handpicked and groomed by the RSS-BJP machinery. he's as much an insider as you can get in Indian right-wing politics. He's not a wildcard; he's a culmination of years of organizational strategy.
Also, reducing his appeal to just "religious faggotry" misses the real machinery at play. BJP's grassroots work, media dominance, and Hindutva networks made Yogi a palatable figure after he was already part of the system. He didn’t just rise from nowhere unlike Trump, who had no prior political grooming, Yogi was a five-time MP before becoming CM. Even MGR had a gradual political transition via DMK before founding AIADMK. Trump’s leap was directly from business/TV to the presidency. That leap is near-impossible in India because of the parliamentary system you need party backing to even get on the ballot meaningfully.The closest India got to a "Trump moment" was maybe Kejriwal in his early anti-corruption days anti-establishment, sudden rise, and national media presence.
