Yaaar, does anyone else remember that one episode of chibi maruko chan where maruko was telling her daddu that her friend's dad has bought an expensive thing (I think it was a vehicle or a house). And then daddu tells her that it is bought by him on loan, not by his own money. And how loan is one of the worst things a person can take.
I'm taking about the old hindi dub that used to air on TV back in the day.
He said something like:
"Maruko. Tumhe pata hai ki usne ye chiz loan pe khareedi ha? Aur loan lena bohot hi khatarnak chiz hai. Wo purchase usne udhar ke paison se ki hai aur ab use wo paise wapis bhi karne honge kishten chukakar. Un kishton pe byaj bhi lagega. Agar koi bhi kisht tooti, to usko bohot mushkil ka saamna karna pad sakta hai. Isliye beta maruko, loan kabhi nahi lena chahiye."
I was 10 years old back then. I think this specific episode was aired in 2008 or 2009. And it was my first lesson of financial literacy learnt from a fucking cartoon show.
I can't find the old dub literally anywhere on the internetto yaaar....

Chibi Maruko Chan was beautiful, oddly most of Indian kids could relate to the middle class child who doesn't do too well in studies. Also when I was a shota sa nanha munha Pajeet, I also had a crush on Maruko's onee san. It was very well written.
