Female mangaka authors are good when they work on their demographic, that is writing for shoujo and josei magazines. When they work on shonen all i can think about is mating pressing the randis she has created in name of female characters. Look at mitsuri, literally walks with her chest wide open and doesn't expect to be called a randi. She needs to be plapped so hard

I don't understand this meme. The character writing in FMAB was genuinely terrible. The only thing going for it is a better plot narrative because obviously unlike FMA, it was not winged in between.
However the arcs that FMA covered of the manga were far far superior than that of FMAB. When that loli character was turned in to a dog creature, you can actually feel the sadness the MCs felt because there were many subtle but strong writing that showed their growing relationship with them such as her waiting outside the exam halls for them to come or them playing with her in the house or her showing them around the town.
Meanwhile in FMAB, it was just some random loli that they met for like I don't know 5 minutes, getting turned to a dog.
Also, another huge factor is Edward not acting like a flaming retard every five minute. Serious moments are dealt with the seriousness they deserve such as his rant towards that brown pink hair girl about the mortality of humans or when he broke down in front of Alric after the Loli died.

The issue is upbeat is tallied with shoneny, but it was never the case. Shonen is something that is written for boys. Randis have a poor definition of understanding of what boys are like.
They are all full of shit for this reason, where they basically go on to make one dimensional make characters. Edwards for instance literally goes on to behave like a faggot.
