I enjoy the criticism of the shut in hating on a cute foid who doesn't actually hate him back. She even asks if she was hurt by a randi in the past, despite not being very sharp. I do get why the MC won't be liked a lot but I enjoyed the idea of him refusing to give up on the shut in.
Some characters are just Chads like real people so I can see the appeal of it. I also enjoyed how the shut in was calling everyone a randi kekek, but the said MC decided to pull him out of his comfort zone regardless.
