I want to loose weight.
I am 180cm tall and weight 87 kg, I need to loose 15 kgs.
What should I do? How about joining a gym? Or should I exercise on my own? Will exercising even help?

eat less,
diet is 60-70% of weight loss,
gym is also necessary, or else you'll look even worse being skinny fat
by eat less what I mean is reduce quantity of what you do in meals, dont consume slop,
eat more fruits
reduce chapati
eat lesser rice
rule of thumb is to consume less processed stuff, more natural stuff
something which helped me was cucumber (or salad in general), I ate like 2 during meals, made me feel more full then regular meals,

Eat in deficit, if you eat 4 rotis, eat three, if you eat 2 cups of rice, eat 1 and a three quarter. The change should not be enough to distress you up. You need to do some form of cardio, and you are good. Take a walk in the morning, walk four or five kilometres and you'll be good.
