This song was gangnam style before gangnam style. Popular in almost every asian country before internet was a thing. I mean, just read the comments on jewtube. The best part is that this song is about wanting an indian man and indian man only. Milind Soman making an appearance as the singer's dream indian man was a good choice.
UPSCjeets and babus lack any sense of aesthetics, social intelligence or charisma to make good propaganda and cultural export. Indians don't realize how big of an impact this has on normies. Just got reminded of this when this Vietnamese MILF mentioned this song when she found out I'm indian. That's literally her point of reference about India.

interesting fact related to bad PR of india,
back in 2002 "incredible india" campaign was launched by tourism ministry, one part of the money was to woe foriegners, even influence through likes of bollywood and other was actually spent on teaching civic ethics to jeets.
Idk how many of you remember those famous videos starring amir khan and other bollywood actors which preached against harassing, overcharging foreigners etc.
When modi kaku came to power in 2014, the budget allocation and brand ambassador for tourism india - at one point it was amir khan etc. was removed, budget too proly and modi ji ended up as only person in charge of PR. You can find snippets of news from that time for the same.
It was one mistake of many, which pretty much lead us to where we are now.
