Collateral damage is generally inevitable when striking urban targets against a regime that deliberately hides among civilians exactly for this reason, Israel and the US actually used high precision munitions to reduce them as much as possible, if they really wanted to kill civilians they could drop the MOAB and kill 20k schoolgirls with one bomb.
On the other hand, it is Iranian missiles and drones that hit civilians and uninvolved nations, both out of deliberate strategy and also just inferiority of their technology.
