Jauhar during delhi sultanate period when turkics would just raid and loot hindu kingdoms as they didnt understand administration and economics. Marked by constant instability, warfare and changing borders with rajputs defeating tughluqs in the end.
Marital unions during mughal era beginning with akbar when an actual proper empire was created and rajput elites were given the offer of joining them and keeping their power rather than fighting which most accepted.

Marrying Akbar was ok and understandable , but I don't understand why khajputs kept giving dotters to Jhandagir and chuhajahan who were both stricter muslims. Ajit Singh of Marwar married his dotter to Farukhsiyar and later marched on Delhi and killed him by his hands kek.

They were less tolerant than akbar but they were still bearable. Akbar was an apostate actually. He created his own cult Din e ilahi which invited wrath of clerics of the time. Aurangzeb was the real deal. It was during his radically islamic reign everyone got pissed off- sikhs, marathas, rajputs, jats, satnamis and rebellions started throughout the empire.
