Yes, I have talked to Swedish people, they do not like the continuous inclement subzero weather that occurs for a prolonged period, it seems like Scandinavian people fantasize about their short-lived summer season, just like we Indians dream about the winter.

It could also be because their summers and our (Northern plain) winters are basically perfect weather. Temperatures in the 10-20 range, not too much rainfall but not completely dry either, less wind etc. Can't go wrong with that kind of weather
