got raped by 3 exams today, i had nothing to eat all day between midsems and classes (mandatory 100% attendance) except for a small slice of cheese pizza. just got home and benchod, it's already 10pm. nearly everything is already closed
and to top it all off, i have 10+ assignments to finish, all due today in one hour. i have to then prepare for a ton of shit tomorrow, go through some dumb alcohol HR training session made for Chads which i will never get to use in my life, and i still haven't progressed on any of the academic goals i set for myself weeks ago, because i have barely any time for studying, or to my pursuits, or looking for jobs anymore

my roommate is comfortably resting in bed on a video call with a white girl he's close friends with.
i can't even bear looking at my screen anymore because i need food to survive and do assignments, but don't have any money to eat anything except old cereal and milk. i wish i had a job so i wouldn't have to beg my parents for more money every month.

I would not say my experience would be the same in most other american universities though. I go to a top 5 school for engineering where around 30-40% of students regularly fail in each year (even if they passed the previous one) because of how unforgiving they are
imho only other university in the entire US that is harder than mine for engineering is MIT/Caltech. maybe UC Berkeley

just to show you some figures, there are about 9,000+ students in my university during first year. each year, people transfer out, shift to an easier college, drop out or get a job without finishing their degree.
in my department, out of thousands of people who manage to get in only 400 people graduate every year. It is depressing. and then you see all the hot girls (mostly psychology/humanities students) running around getting sloshed at house parties and walking around the campus half-naked with their boyfriends (usually business students). The gender ratio in engineering is FUCKED. There are 3 girls in my entire mathematics lecture of 250+ people and they all sit together so no guy can ever get close to them

I get to have 12 meals a week. I can swipe my id card, go in and eat as much as I can inside the hostel canteen. But a lot of the time they serve only beef, or food that tastes actually pretty disgusting so i end up just drinking 3-4 glasses of milk for a meal

Pretty expensive, especially after taxes. 450ml of milk costs $1, eating anywhere or cooking your own food is expensive unless you either eat cup noodles every day, or go to a fast food chain. Which is why there are so many of them here

only like 4 of those could be done before, the rest were all just given to us the day before. We get daily assignments bruh. and guess what, each of it counts towards our final grade in the subject. It's not like India where there's 2 midterm exams and a final exam collectively worth 100% of your total grade, otherwise i wouldn't have bothered submitting them and slacked off

i checked the syllabus of his physics class and it is barely more than the first 50% of ours.
they don't even have that much workload man. they also get to work off-campus jaabs with no repercussions, life in canada is chill. The real grind is in the US
