Gandhi was a man in 40s suffering with mid life crisis. He just had a night out party to celebrate his birthday. He didn't disturbed her or harmed her in any way. It was the first time in his whole married life when he got drunk, that too because she was out of town. Only if she had came a day later or she was little sympathetic with her husband and forgiven her 1 time. Only if she had given him another chance to amend his ways. Only because of her attitude she and her son suffered whole life. She also brainwashed her son into hating his father.
