This is nothing jeetas would commit suicide if Dev Anand wore a black coat and didn't glance in their direction. Amitabh would be surrounded by chicks no matter which country he went.

I remember reading somewhere that it was his secretary named Gurnaam Singh who was the actual reason behind his stardom. He was master at managing media and marketing. You could say this guy was first to introduce concept of PR in bollywood. He bribed and planted fake stories like picrel. He sometimes went too far and hired few girls to put to put lipstick marks on white ambassador car, so that Rajesh Khanna could show off that car in front of everybody. Anyways Gurnaam was very good at managing PR. He started working with Rajesh Khanna in 1968 and died due to illness in 1975. If you look at carrer of Rajesh, he only reached peak stardom status for between 1969 to 1974 when Gurman Singh was alive. After 1975, his career went downhill because could not find a good manager like him.
PS: Rajesh Khanna was an average actor with good luck from the start. He was an orphan, but got adopted by a rich couple. His rich parents spoiled him so much that he became arrogant douchebag. Instead of managing his parents business he burned all their wealth to get into bollywood. Even after becoming actor and earning so much money, he burned through it all and died like kutta bhikhari.
