How are you classifying IP addresses on this site as proxy/non-proxy? Do you use some cloudflare service? I see way too many pakistani mfs here posting under Indian flag.
I suggest having an allow list instead of a block list. Only allow IP's from known ISPs.

ASN can easily be identified, proxy can be found out - though it will not work (atleast with new update).
Obviously i am not gonna check if someone is utilizing such stuff - we get thousands of posts per day.

What do you mean not going to check? Just allow some whitelisted ASNs from India that belong to major ISPs for making posts and commenting. Lurkers can lurk from any IP

most indian ips operate using known ASNs. there are other open source and paid options to get further data.
