Hello and Good Morning Everyone!

Hope everyone is doing alright. Announcing part one of the three major upcoming updates.

This one was supposed to be Phalgun Update but here we are in Chaitra.

First thing first, clear your browser cache. I have reduced the cooldown to just a symbolic 1 minute delay.

Coming to list of Update details, please read below

1. Search

You can now search through the catalog directly by entering phrases in the search box at the top right corner.

2. Board wise theme selection

Directly select theme individually for each board, directly from the homepage, catalog or thread view, etc.

You can go to the settings, available at homepage and catalog, then -> themes -> select the boards (2 in one go) -> select theme -> save.

3. Complete Navbar redesign

Navbar has been changed.

You can now have favourite boards, go to settings -> boards -> select your board and save.

This means in navbar you will only see boards which you have set on favourites. If you want entire list of boards there's drop down already.

4. Filters

Long pending but here it is, now you can filter based on

>boardname

>username or tripcode

>location / flag

>Filenames

>filters either globally or in specific boards.

Example: GEO_IN in case of actual countries, "UP", "CH" in case you want to filter through state names.

5. Custom CSS

Another long pending option, now you can write your own custom css and have it applied in all pages or select ones based on your choices.

>Settings > CSS > Select Pages and add CSS > Save. Refresh pages to see the changes.

6. Import settings from other people

If you do not want to write your own settings you can just import from others. Which means css, filters etc. from others can directly be imported in your browser locally.

Path: Settings > Misc > Import Settings

7. Export settings

Obviously you can export entire of your settings in one go, save it so that you may not lose it.

Path: settings > Misc > Export Settings

8. Reset Settings

Remove all settings by going to Settings > Misc. > Reset Settings

Upcoming Setting options

>Audio mode

This will allow you to record your audio and post directly like you reply

>Canvas mode

You will be able to draw and post directly through the post form.

>Sync Emoji

Though emojis are not promoted, it's just one of the feature where i want the emojis to be dynamically updated and added at the backend and be used.

>Shortcuts

Basically i wanted Vim or something like that shortcuts for the website, though the current internal testing are different. It allows you to quickly switch between pages, sections of the website etc.

What to expect in the Chaitra Update

I wanted to include few more updates in this but it was taking time during testing so going in three stages, next Chaitra Update which will be out in two weeks will be of following

>Bookmarks index

>My Threads section

This would show only threads created by you.

>Active Threads section

Includes threads where you have interacted - created a thread or reply in one.

>Stats at the homepage

Yeah this one is coming too.

>Dedicated noticeboard - mostly at the moderation side but just putting it out there.

>Better connectivity between bharatchat and bharatchan, you should be able to directly share a thread in bharatchat and continue convo there if you want. Improvements in Bharatchat overall which is kinda of rudimentary right now.
