Thank you for asking in meta, I will address points bit by bit over time. But let's look into the main conclusion which you reached at -

>in order to attempt to create his vision of a sanitized, pseudo-intellectual forum with a heavy emphasis on nationalism; when faced with mod candidates from either camp, he picked those with a strong nationalistic fervour. Virtually no one in the first camp, within the Indian context is a nationalist, for reasons that are pretty fucking obvious.

The very fundamental mistake you did was this. I have stated it many a times that i do not consider my role or any other anon as some hierarchy. For me mod role was just one anon who was already part of community, volunteering and have additional functionality to perform certain action in the hours of need. My role is that i fund, i work on the code of bharatchan, maintain it and have some basic rules laid out - major chunk of it is default for any imageboard, rest of the rules are based on the fact that we operate in India and 1.5 years of history on bharatchan lead to further addition, they were discussed btw with anons, but i will expand later on this in this thread or separately someday.

So the fundamental requirement for mods while hiring was that they were active in the community, just active and willing to help. They were. There was no requirement of 'nationalism', 'particular caste' or even 'religious'.

One mod was selected solely cuz of his own propositions - which means that person had certain ideas and he proposed to work on those and it was alright - completely apolitical. That would protect every anon include you or those who hate me here.

Second not really requirement but more of positive agenda was - that anons who need some financial help can be mod. I know 500 is not a lot not even remotely, moderation task on bhach is not much either tbh. I could if i wanted set up a LLM to monitor and filter through threads easily but it was better to have those 500 to some anon who needs it more.

None of the three mods are in particular (((alt-right))), they are just normal anons who shitpost, talk about life and carry on, i don't even know their political leanings nor i care to know other than basic shitposts which is alright considering they are part of the community and being mod is just additional responsibility they have taken up.

All of them are smart anons.

Now below a bit generic tangent but related commentary, don't take it as a proof of anything.

The questions you inquire should be for you to introspect, that is it due to your own politics and agenda you are projecting these ideologies onto me. Also it's a bit pseud to to think imageboard culture means copy paste from other ones directly, or following whatever others are doing without understanding what makes this place different which is a tell tell sign of someone who is new or just too up in the ass thanks to 'othering' effect. Bharatchan shares certain elements with other imageboard but it will never be 1:1, for cultural reasons, for legal resons. Boards like /infra/ exist because it is more culturally relevant to India, than other countries. Same with /acd/,etc. It will evolve separately.

Another aspect from people who accuse me or mods or here is that, they think they should have free hand to push anything they want - that any counter to that is threat to FOE. If you are one such places go back to reddit there's enough of that happening.

It's just one aspect, you are obviously wrong about overall viewpoint or goal i have for bharatchan. Something i have explained in the past and was thinking about summarising in a separate thread one day - sorta like a preamble to avoid repeating or confusion or over-expectations if anyone might have. Some day.

At the end there are certain fundamentals which we agreed to follow, if you can't then you can leave - i am not stopping anyone. Over 1.5 years i have gone through enough, i made stands, changed things based on events - spams / attacks / ddoses / legal troubles, etc. most of which most anons are not aware of. I took stand even to the point that good anons had to be banned. I took stand that i would rather have this place die than have the fundamentals violated - i didn't stop anyone from migrating to other place cuz one thing i knew was that i was atleast honest to myself and to anons to the best of my abilities. For the most part - anons trusted me and that's enough conviction for me to carry on.

And beyond all of this, is the fact that i started it as a place where i used to post about my day to day stuff, i have been on imageboard for a lot longer and it was organized as such. I liked working/coding for this place...i am working on other things now. At the end even if no-one is here. There will still be one person, me, coding sometimes posting other times - until i can no longer. There's no nationalism, no religion, no nothing about this. It's just one anon who was bored on his wagie days decided to create a place where he could vent about his life, write about his interests - it's just that now it's a place for 100s of others anons and somehow that anon has to be there till his feelings erode, that he can't any further. I can't quit just because your feelings about what imageboard can be are hurt anon - those are bogus btw, every place has its own init point, its core story and around it grows. Bharatchan has its own story.

Nothing ever happens.

Create you own imageboard and you will also realize why things are the way they are.
