The operation is believed to have been carried out in close coordination with the Myanmar military.

While official confirmation is still awaited, preliminary reports suggest that ULFA-I’s top commander Nayan Medhi, alias Nayan Asom, may have been killed in the strike. Nayan Asom is considered a key strategist and military trainer within the banned outfit.

not really, these are just separatists groups.
ulfa-i has been more or less dead for some time now with little to no support left in assam. any report exaggerating the ulfa-i threat is misguided.
but nscn(k) is more powerful with significant sympathizers in nagaland.
