Indian obsession with the past glory days is cope to distract from the reality. We were ahead of the world for a while, but the world has gone ahead now. While we parrot Ayurveda and accept homoeopathy(garbage export from the west), and argue about muh ancestry "i am actually caucasoid kang"/ AASI threads, the rest of the world makes real progress.
India has fallen behind and we need to start innovating. Become the generation that takes the bitter struggle like the Chinese did, and end up with a vastly superior nation. You can start caste kanging when we get somewhere first.

Yes, we should build a better system.
Our problem is the sheer number of ethnicities and the blind faith they come with. We should have state mandated atheism and make religion a minority.
We should start implementing strict laws, in the long run it'll maximize efficiency and youll get a generation of Indians who are better.
There should be a good network of leadership in state and the centre with common objectives instead of regionalism. We need to accelerate towards our potential and get things done.
We have a lot to learn from the Chinese but we shouldn't wipe out our history like they did.
