He was capable, just not "as capable". The proof of this lies in the simple fact that if he was alive, he would kill himself again out of sheer shame of what the community he tried to uplift, ended up making of itself.

Same as any other Kayastha, it varies from one person to another. My only complain would be how devoid of reasoning they are, similar to all other Bengalis, which results in them adapting the most common notion of social justice or an equality, out of peer pressure and virtue signal. It is not something Bengali kayastha struggle with alone, but Bengalis as a whole.

They are stupider than they realise, and with the change of time their descendants will be really embarassed by knowing, how their ancestors thought they were being morally correct.
