what is your opinion on kayasthas?

I myself am one, but i'm barely aware of what our tribe is about, or what the general consensus is.

also aren't CKP (chandraseni kayastha prabhu) different from other Kayasthas or is it mererly a different gotra of Kayasthas ?

I personally think of Kayasthas as similar to baniyas but a bit better in the fields of arts and culture.

My experience goes well with them, however I'm not fond of some Kayasthas claiming to be of the different Varnas. Kayastha are kinda their own thing, but too many I know change Varnas like it is master setting on Omnitrix.

I don't hink their is a parallel between Baniya and Kayastha. Kayastha are linguistics driven class while Baniya are a money driven one. Kayastha families have always placed value on arts and learning, and accountancy as well. Over all it sort of varies from person to person.

i think the issue is with our history. kayasthas for the longest time wanted to be accepted as brahmins or at least upper caste, but no one was willing to recognize them as such.

Now modern kayasthas are kinda lost and start identifying with other tribes as it's easier to place yourself in the varna system.

apparantly thats a kayastha woman married into a pahadi family, probably pahadi rajputs. She probably bought that baba with her from her maternal home in delhi.

That baba is used as a callsign by trading communities of delhi. Most of them are Khatri but Baniyas, Kayastha also use his photo to fool the khatris.
