Rohit is a late bloomer in tests, if you actually watched games you would know that he was going strong in tests until that test series against NZ in 2024
He used to average 45 by then which is considered Great for openers.
In T20is his career is huge, he was always great in bilateral t20is. 5 t20i centuries + the fastest T20i Century of all time.
He also had net positive impact in t20i WCs. He used to bat lower down the order until 2012.

2007 t20 wc : Great inning of 52 against SA, match winning finishing touch of 30 against pak in final
2009 T20 wc : 2 great innings out of the 4 innings he played
2010 WC: One 80 run inning vs Aus (only got 2 innings)
2012 Wc: 2 good innings (only batted thrice)
2014 Wc: 4th highest run getter of that WC
2016: 1st genuinely shit campaign, had a semi decent inning against West Indies in Final.
