'I assume that the reader is familiar with the idea of extra-sensory perception … telepathy, clairvoyance, precognition and psycho-kinesis. These disturbing phenomena seem to deny all our usual scientific ideas … Unfortunately the statistical evidence, at least for telepathy, is overwhelming … Once one has accepted them it does not seem a very big step to believe in ghosts and bogies.’

I was pleasantly surprised when I read this in an essay in Alan Turing's Computing Machinery and Intelligence. Turing didn't maintain an obscure occult journal. Neither did he declared this at an established verbatim at a secret parapsychology conference. Neither was he a Victorian spiritualist nor was he a sèance attendee.

This alone should btfo all the Neo-atheists and neo-science movement followers.

Look up Animal Magnetism. Schopenhauer's entire philosophy is based on this.

Let the hylics do as they please. Our goal is not to proselytize. Whatever you learn or discover, do not share it with the normies, otherwise you will lose your status, and suffer. Learn, and teach when asked, but don't tell the normies.
