We have one chance to tap into youth potential to fix our economy, otherwise this population turns old and the following generation will never be able to catch up to already developed nations while also supporting their existing aging population.

It's not that simple saar eastern Europe has been bleading people since the fall of USSR. Countries likes Romania peaked before the 90s, and they continue to grow in terms of GDP per capita. People is just one, and even that critical aspects of economic destiny.
