I don't how much influence russia has had on Indian names but India had influence on russian names to some extent. During Cold war, Soviet union banned any kind of western media. Russian movies were generally too serious and people wanted to watch something fun during the harsh times. Mithun Chakraborty's few movies during that time went superhit and he himself had a huge fan following in Soviet countries. Some people even named their kid "Jimmy" after the song Jimmy-Jimmy aaja aaja. Russian tourism also increased in India particularly in Goa
