Back in 2019 I cleared both JEE Mains and NDA (written exam), growing up I always wanted to join Military, but later on got taken over by the IIT and CS craze just like everyone, so obviously I chose to focus on JEE advanced (got < 3k rank), ended up joining NIT surat because I was getting a better branch and it was near my native place.
I am a IT wagie now, but for last few days with everything that has happened, I have been thinking, how different things could have been, I was pretty close, what if I had gone for the interview? If I had joined the Military academy and got commissioned, maybe I would have taken part in this operation.
Life is weird, I am feeling guilty, I re watched LOC kargil movie after so many years, I used to watch it all the time in early 2010s.

I missed out on something which I genuinely loved.
It sounds quite BRVTAL and obviously I want to live a long life, but TRVTH is, we all crave adventure.
I was watching videos of some soldiers who DIED, and their bodies were brought to their villages, it feels weird but it could have been me.

I was blinded by IIT meme yaar, in the end I got Engineering physics branch in a far away IIT but I didn't choose it.

I could have easily got < 2000 rank yaar, I did lots of silly mistakes that day, I fucked up in the second paper.
One of my friend got ~1300 rank, he got ECE in IIT Guwahati

Still man, in Military you are doing something that really matters.
Sometimes I think I should have taken admission into Engineering Physics BTech, I was a retard back then didn't know much, there is a lot of scope in Applied Physics Research actually, I could have gone abroad.
I could have worked in Weapons Industry and stuff.

In my native they prefer just good family. Girls here will jump into with boys like me to have good life with IT majdur husband instead of gobermint thulthul husband who's stinky.
