Old parts of most cities are a dump, but just look at how much is going on in Hyderabad right now. Mumbai might be more ambitious in terms of scale. But Hyderabad's rise is far more impressive imo.

Mumbai is our most important city, so it's obviously going to be ahead. Noida is being build to be like our Shenzhen, with several cities to serve it's own industrial capabilities. But even then, I think Hyderbad will be ahead of it. It'd growth has been insane since Telegana was carved.

My mom was a lawyer too, she quit after she got too many criminals as clients and her fellow lawyers were suggesting evil shit and didn't really understand law themselves.

Not anymore. But during litigation, before I switched to corporate, we dealt with a variety of cases. Some NDPS cases, a few POCSO cases, a lot of cheque bounce cases, some juvenile cases of petty crimes like theft and snatching. The city I live and practice in is relatively peaceful. There is not a lot of crime happening here. Most of the "criminals" I met were just poor innocent people who were falsely implicated in fake cases for extorting money out of them. NDPS guys were just innocent drug addicts.
The actual scummy guys were the ones who were accused of white collar crimes and CBI/ED cases under PMLA and PC act were registered and ongoing against them. We only had one such client though.
