i genuinely feel that leaving caste identities could lead to a severe identity crisis among the Jeet population. Future Jeets might become rootless and may even start shamelessly claiming Mughal or European ancestry just to feel good about themselves (much like what we see with Pakistanis and Bangladeshis).
