Why do Gangus and Deccanis care about Pakistan so much? Only Gujarat, Rajasthan, Punjab, Kashmir, and Delhi NCR were at risk of being attacked by Pakistan after independence. Basically the NW region.

It's more like gangus have better experience with the muslim and islamist culture and they see pakistan as a representative of all the evils they imagine among the islamist.
South indians didn't have the same experience, but if they were to face one - they would be more ferocious than gangus ever be - because for all the hate gangus and nw share an unadmitted bond of familiarity with pakistanis - no matter how both groups hate each other.
