I did some calculations once, even if you nuke like the top 100 cities by population with surgical precision (I mean you use the correct type of nuke(s) as per the city size, such that all 100 cities are completely obliterated), only 300 million will die from the direct impact, the whole dehat will survive that.
For the remaining cities, towns and villagers, supply chain issues will eliminate how many I haven't done any studies. But surely the grid will be down in such an event and anything that relies on electricity will be shut. Also expect no transportation since there will be no oil since there will be now cashflow. Basically everything will come to a halt.
