A huge chunk of this population doesn't have and is yet to develop a concept of self, as in their brains can't comprehend self actualization. Kinda like animals who only follow their genetic blueprint but even some animals show self awareness than these sad bipedals. They literally don't know what they are doing or where their actions might lead to in the immediate future and thus throw the trash right out of the window I won't look at it again so it doesn't exists anymore. Sounds grim but this is the reality. Also the reason the only way to ascend is to leave this country and become a traitor to your own civilization because matter of the fact is for every right thing you try to do here there will be over a million who will be ready to reverse that good into something ugly.

When you are used to seeing ugly faces you are not bothered by trash or other eyesores. The more aesthetically pleasing the people of a place are, the more aesthetically pleasing are the surroundings, art, architecture etc. because we humans create things in our image.

Ofc not all. Varies by region and caste. Soythies, NE indians, pahadis, far north states are relatively better. UCs are also relatively better in organising their gated communities and neighbourhoods. The worst regions are bimaru belt and slums populated by bhangis and multutude from the lowest strata.

As I said most not all, the ones who could see for what this country has really come to have already left or are planning to get a new passport. Those who are unable to afford that simply live with it and cope with the subpar life quality. This inturn leads to a state of apathy where nothing changes. Why bother when nobody gives a hoot about higher goals? Squalor becomes the norm and you are forced to turn a blind eye to it.

Its more than that. Democracy is working for the west, japan, SKorea so democracy in and of itself isnt the problem. Perhaps some populations are just not built for democracy. Country A will use democracy for development and keeping leaders in check whereas country B will abuse it to get freebies and dominating minorities.
