This chart is so significant. China was fastest growing major economy for 3 decades and a half.
India has been so for just last one decade. We need to push harder to improve things atleast 1 more decade and half of such growth will result in an India unimaginable to those who lived in through 2000s.
I will be 40 if i live until then.

One of the biggest issue with India with which growing middle class is discontent with is failure or lack of tier 3 governance.
A state shouldn't be the one bothering to micromanage city infra, babus are leeches. Entire tier 3 governance needs to be improved maybe some sort of Central government + City combo. So that there can be uniformity but also greater powers with mayor and ward members.
We are pretty good when it comes to central government, our state governance is almost pretty much sorted in every state. Last bastion is remaining.

I think people give too much credit to authoritarianism when it's just about stability and consistency with step by step iteration and improvements. Modi government does seem to have long term vision and working well towards as a whole approach which i like.
