if you allow re-arrangement between A and B i.e., A cannot be behind B and B cannot be behind A then you are right. but sirf A cannot be behind B maanke chale to 9! - 8! hoga bas. k = 8 which is not in the options.
baaki fluid waale ka to A hai
dh/dt = V/cross-sectional A
dh/dt = 20Q / pi * R^2
after muh intoogration, t = pi R^2 h / 20Q
all that 10^5N and eta is meme shieee
post hard questions anon, these are piss easy

True. But none of the options matched 8, so I went with rearranging A and B in both ways. 7 was an option, so I went with that.

Econometrics aur Game Theory dekh le bhai. Sure, it is child's play at UG level, but it is rather rigorous at Master's.
I suggest that you glance through Varian or Watkins if you think that I am lying.

Literally half the batch gets a back in at least one paper during DSE's masters program, and even some people from IIT opt for ISI's MSQE. Economics can be quite rigorous, especially in the field that I want to enter.

i meant the use of maths in economics. you wont use maths in economics to a level used in engi(by the way I am a nigger)ing (if you study it properly)
jaha tak baat rahi game theory ki, yes its easy. varian watkins IS easy. i work in DE shaw pyaare. not bragging, just letting you know, quant se zyada maths bas theoretical mathematics mai ho hogi use.

Tips. Guide me.
I am a first year student in Econ at DU. Can I get into Quant after a Masters in DSE or ISI? How do I make myself more employable? I can code in Python and C++, and have made some projects. I also know SQL.
I am self-studying mathematics on the side and have taken math courses as an elective.

Can you make a thread in acd or sci for Math resources? I am passionate about Math and was even getting it in Hindu, but my baap told me that Econ was better.

python c++ is a great choice. best even. maths pe pakad acchi hai and you are doing the best.
>Can I get into Quant after a Masters in DSE or ISI?
but anon, i am not sure about this path. ISI is premium cream. but i dont know about career paths. i didnt target quant roles per se, mujhe software codeshitting bhi mil jaati to join kar leta itna elitist nahi hoon. i am not aware of the paths. but all i hv seen are tier 1 en9!n!99ers (take that dayush kek, jk) around me in the coompany. aur mai pata karke bataunga. abhi to kissmass jew year ki chhutti pe ghar hoon.
also what are the jobs your kalej offers for your course. campus placements ka kya scene hai? uske hisaab se bataunga how to make yourself more employable.
>Can you make a thread in acd or sci for Math resources
i cant anon. maine kabhi maths as a subject rigorously nahi padhi nor am i passionate about it. i solely got into DE Shaw based on contacts, natural ability in maths, and tier 1 kalej (tier S tbh)
>first year
dont worry nanhejeet, keep working hard. you are on the right path. maths acchi honi chaiye if you are targetting quant specifically.
aur kisi topic pe thread chaiye ho to bata diyo. inpe to mai nahi bata sakte and i hv given sufficient reasoning. i wont do justice to what these threads demand.

Thank you so much sir.
College is Ramjas DU, course is Eco Hons.
Placements are shit. Just a few analyst and consultant roles. Honestly, no good jobs are there at Bachelor's level.
That is why I am targeting ISI MSQE for my masters. DSE is my backup, but that is again geared towards analyst and consultant jobs usually.
Agar aap please kuch Quant-related resources, or even general job related tips bata sake, toh mujh jaise logon ka bahaut faiyda hoga.
Thank you so much for taking out the time to reply.
I am currently doing Linear Algebra to self-study, would continue with Real Analysis from February. I am trying my best to work on my problem-solving skills and coding, while also expanding domain knowledge in economics.

My baap wants me to aim for Masters in UK or JewSA, but I don't think ki meri aukaat hai. Sure, I have decent extra curricular and acads, but I doubt that I will make it to a Top 5. And if not that, then what even is the fucking point of wasting so much money? I looked at the requirements for LSE, Yale, Stanford, etc. and that made me want to put a bullet through my head.
I feel like such a worthless piece of shit sometimes. I just want to do something right in life and work towards my passion, which is Economics and Mathematics.

Depends on the role too. Even some of my seniors are in DE Shaw, but are not doing that well.
Christ Uni is decent though. Not tier 1, but not as bad as most private unis.

are chill yaara. i ll make a thread a week or two later. kuch logo se baat karni padegi. mujhe personally quant ka itna idea nahi. natural skill se kaam chal gaya. probability, statistics, PnC are of utmost importance.
>I am currently doing Linear Algebra to self-study
nice. dont go on to solve problems that are trivial but calculative. focus more on concepts SVD and shieee. ab to naam bhool gaya boht topics ke ngl. but why are you stoodying lin al? the only point of studying it if you can apply jaise PCA and stuff in data analysis.

dont. never thing low of yourself. idk if you know about that nicholson anon but i have been following that same shit he preaches (delusional optimism) all my life. and guess what ... it works. you just have to keep putting efforts but the missing piece is the mindset. your mindset should be of someone who has already made it.

not tier 1, decent. depends on role. i am in quant. quant and SDEs are mostly from tier 1.

>why Lin Al
I want to start at the basics and then build up from there. Some guy on the Econ forum XJMR suggested this list of books to me, but only after calling me a shit-eating curry and making fun of my schooling. Maybe I should stop frequenting XJMR.
>Guwahati
Makes sense. I kneel, Techchad.
>never think low of yourself
Thanks, I will try.
>delusional self-belief works
Only for intelligent people like you. Retards like me can't do that, but I will still try since you suggested it.
>probability, statistics, combinatorics
That is my bread and butter, and probably the only thing that I marginally decent at. I will keep working on that too.
These days, I try looking at Math Olympiad and Jane Street questions too. If I persist long enough, maybe I will be able to reach that level of mastery. I know that this is not strictly required, but I love problem-solving and forcing my brain to think.

XJMR is kind of like 4chan but for economists. Usually populated by white and east asian college bros in top US and UK schools. The site kind of fell off now. Their job listings and stats for top schools and programs are still pretty useful as references.

dont worry. thats the norm. har jagah help mil hi jaati hai. as much as it sounds retarded, chuds on 4chinz have helped me very much but they are racist or call you retarded.
>Only for intelligent people like you. Retards like me can't do that, but I will still try since you suggested it.
yeah try it. try to go in with a winner's mindset in any task you try, be it sports, be it stoody, ANYTHING. see if it works.

Not really. They are all miserable and autistic faggots like me. Sure, they earn well and live in good countries, but they are all miserable.

but yeah i am very secure and always have been. mehnat karo, its NEVER leaps and bounds, its ALWAYS about improving regularly. sounds cliche but aisi fields mai ekdum se improvement nahi aati. dheere dheere results aaenge.

I will admit that I was not looking for hope posting, but this is definitely what I needed. I had been down in the pits for a while and was surrounded by a lot of negativity, so I really appreciate your words of encouragement.
>mere bhi jeevan main dukh hai
That happens with everyone. What makes a person a miserable faggot is when they internalize the negativity and lash out at others. Misery is a state of being, and not circumstantial. You are still a positive person despite your struggles, so you are definitely better than most anons in that regard.
I hope that your overcome your problems soon. Thanks once again and good night. May tomorrow be a better day for all of us.
