It's been 8 months. 8 straight months and here I am, not being able to get hired. I've been interviewed by famed MNCs, and the most disgusting things they've done is to straight away ghost me after I've submitted their assignments.
I have my portfolio, my work experience, and I still did their assignments, but guess what? A cold silence after that. I feel so disgusted that even famed MNCs are doing this. Ghosting has become a ritual for Indian companies now. I've made my resume keyword friendly and LLM friendly, build a creative portfolio, wrote cold mails which doesn't look like a noob has written, but guess what? A cold silence.
Come on, Indian brands. Don't be this pathetic. Atleast announce that y'all having a hiring freeze. Why HRs even reach out and interview, and waste hours of time if they won't hire anyone? I'm pretty sure that they don't hire anyone, atleast not now.
Look at this circus.
First you study so hard, get a 8.5 CGPA, clear all the semesters cause you have to, and finally do an internship from a college placement. And if you're from a Tier 3 college, maybe you find some internship in some startup.
But then, when you want to land up a full time job for atleast 3 LPA, all you get is to do assignments, and get ghosted. HRs don't even say we'll get back to you these days. Instead they just keep a cold silence, and you start doubting your capabilities.
You keep on fanatically applying in series of jobs, whatever you can get a hold of, maybe send 200 mails in a month, and all you get is a record silence.
Companies are hiring for only 3+ years experienced, and I don't know who's getting hired for the job posts that mention 0-2 years of experience, as I couldn't land up in 300+ jobs that requires absolutely entry level experience.
The job market is dead. And maybe, it won't revive the way it used to be. There's 0 work for freshers, even young startups are hiring for candidates that have 3+ years of experience at a salary or 3 LPA.
To all HRs reading this, don't ghost people. I know you get 100 resumes, and shortlist maybe 30 out of them, but every shortlisted candidate has a right to receive a feedback so that they know it's not them, but you who just won't hire them. I don't know why you won't hire, I don't care. All I know is ghosting is evil. It destroys clarity, and doesn't give the candidate opportunity to learn from their mistakes.
