It's alright campfire guitar level stuff, it really depends on how much you want to master guitar.
Try learning fingerpicking, hold chords but instead of strumming it, try to pick the strings individually with your fingers. Try switching chords as you do that.
If you want to perfect that, listen to Elliott Smith, I guess. He has a lot of nice finger picked songs.

Oh yeah, the Bollywood song lifts the melody from this, but it's folk music anyway, most folk songs lift melodies and words from each other.
