These boomers think they're doing us a favor by comparing us with others by comparing our negatives with someone else's positives and then ask us to git gud.
I've been compared with kids half my age both in real life and those who show up on these stupid reality TV shows where some kid would put on a performance and then the judges would make the parents come to the stage and make the kid prostrate to them and thank them for making him perform. I've been compared usually by saying that I'm so intelligent and sharp but why can't I be street-smart enough and climb up the social ladder on my own? Look at this 16 year old girl who can drive a scooter, why can't you!?
Anyway, as for B.Tech, unless you do CSE / IT or some computer science related field, it's pretty much over. If you did EEE / Civil / Mech you may get a job but it'll be a physical one that would involve site or supervisory work, or drafting / design with strict deadlines. Nanotechhnology? Those things are still trending?
