They try to create the narrative of family being based on patriarchy, oppression of women, unpaid work. Their movies feature dehat and traditional households being run by violent, misogynistic monsters where women are beaten daily, treated as dirt and considered inferior.
In reality, most men aren't like that at all. Most love their wives and want to feel loved. They want to make their woman happy and take care of her.
Searching on youtube reveals the mindset of those people through search trends (its not some liberal urban rich indians who are causing that search trend).
