Bro, he spent decades trying to fix the (indian) system from within Hinduism (like the Kalaram Temple entry movement in 1930). He only converted to Buddhism in 1956 because he saw that reform wasn't happening fast enough. He chose Buddhism specifically because it’s an indigenous Indian faith that's culturally very close to Hinduism. You can definitely admire someone who worked that hard to improve Indian society.
